Scallops & Ribbon Orchids

Hello Everyone and happy Tuesday!  Here it is Tuesday already.  Where'd the weekend go?  Today I have another card I printed using My Ditigal Studio and the Summertime Splendor designer kit.  This card is a regular A2 card and the inspiration card can be found here.  I used 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Whisper white cardstock scored at 4 1/4 inches for my card base.
One of the pretty print designer paper from Shades of Spring was cut to 3 1/2 x 4 3/4 and is matted on a 5 x 3 3/4 piece Elegant Eggplant.

The frame was created by using Stampin Up scallop corner and border punch on a 3 13/16 x 2 7/8 inch piece of whisper white.  After punching the scallops all around, I cut out the middle and wove some 1/8 inch ribbon from my stash around the frame.

The Elegant Eggplant strip behind the image is 1 x 5 inches and embossed with Stampin Up Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder.

The image was printed from MDS using the Elegance font for the greeting and the Summertime Splendor download designer kit. Spellbinder dies were used to cut the image and ovals.

Here is a close up of the side of the card. I used SU dimensional to raise each layer.

Supplies:
Stamps: None
Ink: Non
Paper: Whisper White, Orchid Opulence, Elegant Eggplant, Shade of Spring DSP
Accessories: MDS, SU Dimensional, SU Scallop corner and border punch, SU Perfect Polka Dot EF, Spellbinder dies, Ribbon from stash.

I hope you like todays project.  Please let me know if you do.  Happy stamping and have a great day!

Clean & Simple Wedding Cards

Hello everyone!  I hope everyone is having a great weekend.  It seems like the weeks are just flying by.  Today I would like to share a couple of wedding cards that I made as a request from a friend.  I chose to keep these clean and simple and I strived for an elegant look.  I sure hope I succeeded.

I chose to case this card from here.  I saw this card on Split Coast Stampers and thought it was so clean and elegant.  The image is embossed with SU heat and stick powder then sprinkled with dazzling diamonds glitter and heat set again.  It is really very pretty in real life.

Stamps: Upsy Daisy, Computer generated greeting
Ink: Basic Black
Paper: Whisper white
Accessories: Spellbinders dies, MS border punch, SU Organza ribbon, heat & stick powder, Dazzling Diamonds glitter

This next card is cased from here.  I changed the orientation of the card and used a different embossing folder and ribbon. I didn't have a Stampin Up wedding stamp so I had to used one I purchased before signing as a Demo.

Supplies:
Stamps: Non Stampin Up stamp
Ink. Versa Mark, Basic Black
Paper:  Whisper white
Accessories: Spellbinders die, MS lattice punch, SU finial press EF, ribbon from stash, black embossing powder.

3 x 3 Gift Cards & Tags

Happy Saturday to everyone!  I do hope everyone is having a nice weekend.  Today I would like to share some boxes filled with gift cards and tags I made using various Stampin Up supplies and scraps from my stash.  I think that these cards attached to the front of a gift bag or decorated along with a bow on a pretty package is just ideal.

The template for the box is a third party template I found on the internet.  The images are created and printed on whisper white cardstock in MDS using the Vintage Vogue download.  The bottom of the box is chocolate chip and the top is cardstock from my stash.

I've been very bad about hoarding paper and I need to start using my stash to make room for some new cardstock and designer paper.  The butterfly on the box is a MS punch with some little pearls I found at Walmart.

Here is a picture of the 3 x 3 cards and tags inside the box.  I cut the tags with my cricut machine.  I used some SU windows sheets,  Flower Fusion Too and Roof Garden Accents & Elements and handmade flowers.  Some of these cards were inspired and cased from SplitCoastStampers.

Supplies:
Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes, Whimsical Words, Say It With Scallops, Happy Moments, Non SU for the pink tag.
Cardstock: Whisper white, Regal rose, Taken with teal, Choc Chip, Lavender Lace, Clearly Thanks printed Window sheets, Cottage Wall dsp, Parisian Breeze dsp.
Ink: Basic Black, Chocolate chip, SU markers.
Accessories:  Flower Fusion Too and Roof Garden Accents & Elements, handmade flowers, SU scallop square punch, word window punch, modern label punch, trio flower punch, small daisy punch from my stash.

More examples of the boxes, cards and tags below.

The box below is filled with a variety of tags different sizes using up various scraps from my stash of both SU and non-SU supplies.

I hope you liked these boxes of 3 x 3 gift cards and tags and hope these projects gets your creative juices flowing.

More MDS Summertime Splendor

Good Afternoon everyone!  Today I'd like to share another three cards I made using MDS, My Digital Studio, Summertime Splendor.  These images are just so beautiful, I just want to keep making more and more cards with these images.

I opt to keep these cards fast and simple, therefore, I didn't use any embellishments or ribbons.

The greetings and images are all done in MDS.  If you need any help with instructions on how I did this, please just drop me an email message and I'll do my best to send you step by step instructions.

This card uses ballet blue which I embossed with SU square lattice EF. MS edge and corner punch was used on the whisper white layer. The image was matted to brillant blue cardstock.

I used tangerine tango and ran it through the Big Shot with the square lattice EF.  I used SU scallop edge and corner punch for the whisper white layer and matted the image on a piece of chocolate chip.

This card I used orchid opulence with the square lattice EF. A MS border and corner punch was used for the whisper white layer.  I used the corner rounder on the elegant eggplant and image layer.

I just love using MDS for scrapbooking and cardmaking.  If you been thinking about purchasing My Digital Studio but were afraid to take the plunge, put your fears to rest.  The software is so easy to use and being certified in using MDS, I would do anything in my power to help you.  Just click on the "Order Online" button at the top left to place your order.

MDS Summer Splendor

Hello everyone!  Today I'd like to show you some 3 x 3 gift cards made with My Digital Studio and the new Summer Splendor DSP digital download.  The designs in Summer Splendor DSP are just so beautiful that no embellishments are really needed to create a clean and simple card.  I was inspired to make these cards after seeing Grethen Barron post here.

I reduced the size of the images to fit four 3 x 3 pictures on the 6 x 6 layout and printed them on whisper white cardstock.

I cut them apart and matted them on coordinating cardstock matching the images and adhered this to whisper white cardstock.  These images are just beautiful and make wonderful quick, easy and simple cards.

In the picture right, the card on the right uses brilliant blue and the card on the left uses chocolate chip.

These cards use elegant eggplant for the card on the left and tangerine tango for the card on the right.

These cards use real red for the card on the left and handsome hunter for the card on the right.

I have also printed a small picture on the corner of the envelopes to match the cards using my word processing program.
Here's a closeup of the box made with elegant eggplant and one of the beautiful images. I used the scallop trim corner and border punch raised up on dimensionals with some ribbon from my stash.

The template for the box to hold these beautiful cards can be found here.

My Digital Studio is a wonderful product and just perfect for scrapbooking and cardmaking.  New downloads are being release frequently and the images are just stunning.

Baby Cards

Hello everyone!  Today I have a few baby cards that I'd like to show you.  I'm sorely lacking in baby cards and since I'm making the cherub cots, I thought it would be a good idea to have some baby cards on hand also.  These cards were cased from Carol at Stamp Like Crazy.  You can view her post here.  I changed the stamp set to Stampin Up Animal Stories.

I couldn't find any buttons locally since all we have is a Super Wal-Mart and no fabric shops. I came across some little flowers I had in my stash and thought they would do just fine.

I use coordinating stickles for the centers of the flowers.  I hope these cards gets those creative juices flowing. Leave me a comment if you like these cards.  I'd love to hear from you.  Until tomorrow, happy stamping!

Pack a Picnic with goodies

Hello everyone!  Today I have a picnic basket to show you using Stampin Up Cottage Wall designer paperand some handmade flowers.  I made this basket and all the goodies for a Silent Auction held for Autism Awareness.  I wanted to donate something for this cause and thought that this basket filled with goodiewould be just the thing.  I sure hope the recepient was very happy with this gift.

The basket was made from a third party template and contained a post-it-note holder with pen, a lip balm holder, a bookmark, a triangle box with two pieces of chocolate and a pen with holder.  I bought a box of colored mini pens by mistake and needed to put them to good use. The purple pen fit just right with the orchid opulence in the designer paper.

The stamp I used for the bookmark, however, is non-Stampin Up.  I purchased a bunch of the clear plastic sleeves for the bookmarks hoping to make some to sell at craft fairs.

Here is the side of the basket.  I purchaed a large and medium daisy punch and used the instructions that I found here.  A little Flower Soft was used for the center of the flowers.

This basket has so many possiblities for gift ideas using Stampin Up designer paper. How about a baby gift filled with onsies, and baby items. Or how about a birthday gift with bath salts, lotions, etc.  Let your imagination go!

Below is a view of the cover of the basket. The pearls are from the pretties kit. The butterfly, scallop ovals, embossing and the piece under the butterfly are all Spellbinders

Supplies:

Stamps: Think Happy Thoughts, Oval All, Big Flowers, Serene Snowflake
Paper: Whisper white, Orchid opulence, Rich razzleberry Night of Navy, Cottage Wall DSP
Ink: Orchid opulence, Rich razzleberry
Accessories: Spellbinders scallop oval, fancy tags, butterfly impressabilities and butterfly die, MS floral deep vine & leaf punch, Punch bunch large and medium daisy punch, SU scallop circle & oval punch, SU white hodgepodge brads, SU white taffeta & polka dot ribbon.

Bella Rose OSW

Here is another one sheet wonder. I need to start using some of the retired Stampin Up DSP that I've been hoarding to make room for the new release in the upcoming catalog.  The template I found on the internet and can be found here.

For this card set I've used the retired Bella Rose dsp with chocolate chip, kiwi kiss, pink pirouette and whisper white cardstock.  I embossed the pink pirouette layer with the A2 leafy branch Cuttlebug embossing folder.  The small butterflies are from the MS butterfly punch but I think that Stampin Up butterfly embosslit would work also.  The large butterfly is from my stash. The box is made from a third party template. Leave me a comment if you like this or have any suggestions for improvement.

Stamps: Well Scripted, Sincere Salutations, Elegant Thank You
Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Pink Pirouette, Kiwi Kiss, Whisper White, Bella Rose DSP (retired)
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Accessories: MS butterfly punch, Whisper white grosgrain & organza ribbon, Self adhesive pearls, brad and large butterfly from stash & brad.

Cherub Cot Baby Shower Gift

Today I'd like to show you the baby shower gift I made for a friend.  Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture of the crib outside of the box, sorry.  The pattern is from a third party company I found on the web.  The crib and box is made from the white cardboard backing that comes with Stampin Up's designer series paper.  What a great way to recycle those backing sheets.

The crib was filled with hand stamped onsies.  I was under a time crunch so I wasn't able to snap any pictures of the onsies.  You could really make some very cute baby shower gifts with this and fill it with little baby socks, washcloths, bibs, or a rattle.  Let your imagination run wild.  Hope you enjoyed looking at today's project and leave me a comment if you like it.

Supplies used:
Paper: SU Bashful Blue, backing from SU dsp, Yo yo yellow, whisper white
Ink: Basic Black
Accessories: SU embossing folder, Spellbinders dies, MS doily lace trim deep edge punch, Cricut, Stickers, ribbon and trim from stash, computer generated greeting
