Elegant Soiree Cute by the Inch

Hello everyone!  I have a card set and matching box to share with you today.  One of the hostess stamp sets Cute by the Inch and a pack of designer paper Elegant Soiree, which are new items in the Stampin Up 2010-2011 Idea Catalog, were used in creating this set.  I hope you find inspiration in making one of these for yourself.

The base of the box is made with Night of Navy cardstock.  I used the scallop square punch for the focal image which is stamped with Night of Navy on Very Vanilla cardstock. This was matted on a piece of Baja Breeze and Soft Suede punched with the Scalloped corner and border punch.

The Crumb Cake strip was edged with the scalloped border punch and adhered to the center of a piece of Very Vanilla that was embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder and matted on top of some Elegant Soiree designer paper.
The card set includes six cards using the Cute by the Inch set as focal points and Elegant Soiree designer series paper.

Stamps: Cute by the Inch, Watercolor Trio
Ink: Very Vanilla, Night of Navy, Soft Suede
Cardstock: Baja Breeze, Night of Navy, Very Vanilla, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Elegant Soiree dsp
Accessories: Vintage Wallpaper EF, Scallop Trim border and corner punch, Scallop Square punch, Modern Label punch, Scallop oval and 1-3/8 oval punch, pearls, brads and rhinestones from stash.

I hope you like this project and find inspiration in creating and designing a set for yourself or a gift.  Leave me a comment for any suggestions or likes and dislikes.

Wedding Card for Denmark

Hello everyone!  Today I would like to show you a card that I made for a friend in Denmark.  I sure hope she likes it as I've struggled with how to design a card for her.

All supplies are Stampin Up unless otherwise noted.  The card base is Whisper White which I embossed with the new Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder.  The next three Whisper White layers were edged with the Scallop Trim corner and border punch in three different sizes.

Night of Navy cardstock is used for the flowers punched with the Boho blossom punch. Using the largest blossom, I snipped between every other petal, molded each petal with a samll embossing stylus and creased the center with a piercing tool. I then turned the flower over and using the handle end of the piercing tool with the flower on a mouse pad pushed down in the center of the flower to make the petals rise up.

The flower centers are punched from Whisper White with a small sun punch from Punch Bunch.  I molded this piece using a large embossing tool to create the center stamens for the flower then adhered this with Tombow Mono Multi glue.

These flowers are attached to a Whisper White piece cut with a Spellbinders Renaissance Hearts pendant with mini glue dots.  Sage Shadow leaves and Bashful Blue branches are punched with a Martha Stewart punch and also attached with mini glue dots.

Congratulations was computer generated on Whisper White cardstock and punched with the word window punch and attached to a Bashfull Blue piece cut from a Spellbinders fancy tags die.

If you would like to know how I made these flowers, please leave me a comment.  I'd be happy to do a step by step tutorial showing you how I made these.

Floral Cards with My Digital Studio

Hello everyone! Today I would like to show you another card set I made using My Digital Studio. These pictures were taken at our local Iris Festival held at Swan Lake Gardens in Sumter, South Carolina back in May.

My Digital Studio was used to print these pictures with greetings for making this set of cards. The hardest part was trying to decide which color cardstock to use for the mat on each picture.

Whisper White is used for the base for all the cards.

Pretty in Pink is used to mat the card on the left and Bashful Blue is used for the card on the right.

YoYo Yellow was used for the Iris card on the left and Pretty in Pink on the Gardenia card on the right.

These card are really gorgeous in real life.

I packaged these card in a clear plastic box wrapped with gold cord.

Stamps: None

Cardstock: Whisper White, Pretty in Pink, Bashful Blue, YoYo Yellow (retired)

Ink: None (computer generated)

Accessories: Plastic box and gold cord from stash.

As always I welcome any and all comments and suggestions. Thanks for looking.

Acrylic Gift Card Holder Tutorial

Hello Everyone! I've had a couple of request for instructions on how I made the acrylic gift card holder in my previous post here. Sorry this took me so long but here it is at last.  I hope this inspires you to make one for yourself or as a gift for someone.  If you have any questions, please just let me know.

1 ½" x 8 ½" coordinating cardstock for pen holder
5 ½" x 3" coordinating cardstock for pocket
3 ¼" x 1 ¾" patterned paper for front of pocket
2" x 3" patterned paper for stamp pocket
Approx . 23 ½" ribbon for top of frame (optional)
Approx. 4" ribbon for pen

Additional supplies:
Adhesive – Sticky Strip or Scor-Tape

Step 1
Score the 1 ½" x 8 ½ "strip of cardstock for the pen holder on the long side at ½", 1", 1 ½" and 2".

Step 2
Crease all score lines and apply adhesive along the end score line as shown in the picture.

Step 3
Fold score lines to form a holder for the pen.

Step 4
Attach the pen holder to the back of the 4" x 6" patterned paper or cardstock about 1" from the top and slip it into the frame.

Step 5
Score the 5 ½" x 3" cardstock at ½" and 1" from both short ends and one long end. Cut out the corners as shown in the picture below. Apply Sticky Strip along the score lines of the outer sections on three sides. (You can't see the Sticky Strip on the right side but it's there)

Step 6
Apply the 3 ¼" x 1 ¾" patterned paper to the front of the pocket.

Step 7
Fold on all score lines and construct pocket as shown.

Framed Just for You

Hello eveyone! I would like to share a card I made for a challenge and swap. This card uses all Stampin Up cardstock.  The challenge was to use beads or pearls on a card.  I got the inspiration for this card here and just about cased/copied it with the exception of having the same flourish punch.

I used Pretty in Pink, Sahara Sand and Whisper White Stampin Up cardstock.  The flowers are daisies made from a large Punch Bunch punch and a small Marvy punch.

The white layer is edged with the Martha Stewart Eyelet Lace punch around the page set which has the greeting that was computer generated.  This was adhered to a piece of Pretty in Pink layered on some Sahara Sand.  The card base is Whisper White.

I used my Spellbinders die to cut the center out of a layered piece of Pretty in pink and Sahara sand so my focal point would show.

The flourishes are cut with my Big Shot using the Stampin Up Swirls Scribbles Sizzlits die.  The butterflies are cut with the Martha Stewart punch the the pearls are from my stash.

I sure hope the recipient likes this card.

Stamps: None (greeting is computer generated)

Paper: Pretty in Pink, Sahara Sand, Whisper White

Ink: None

Accessories:  Martha Stewart eyelet lace punch around the page and butterfly punch, Stampin Up sizzlit swirls scrbbles die, Punch bunch medium daisy, Marvy small daisy punch, Spellbinders circle dies and pearls from my stash.

Carolina and Clemson Gift Sets

Hello everyone!  Happy 4th of July to everyone!  I hope everyone is having a nice weekend and celebrating our Independence Day.  Today I would like to share with you a couple of gift sets honoring our two rival universities in South Carolina, USC (University of South Carolina) or Gamecocks and Clemson University or Tiger Paws.

These gift sets include a list pad, a 3 x 3 post-it-note with mini gel pen, and a key ring with a 1.5 x 2 post-it-note.
The instructions for the list pad can be found here

I purchased the junior legal pads at our local Staples store where I had them cut in half for the list pad.

All supplies are Stampin Up unless otherwise noted. For the USC list pad, I used Bravo Bungundy and Basic Black cardstock. The USC or Gamecock logo was printed on Whisper White cardstock. I used the jumbo So Swirly wheel and Versamark to create a pattern on the Bravo Burgundy cardstock. The striped piece of cardstock on the bottom is non-Stampin Up from my stash. Bravo Burgundy 1/4" grosgrain ribbon is used for the front of the list pad. I cut and embossed the plain and scallop circles with my Spellbinders die.
Whisper White, Elegant Eggplant and Retired Orange cardstock is used for the Clemson gift set.  The top of the list pad is Orange designer paper and the bottom is created using the It's Beautiful jumbo wheel with Elegant Eggplant ink on Whisper White.

The instructions for making this 3 x 3 post-it-note and pen can be found here.  The same colors and cardstock was used here as on the above list pads.  A non-Stampin Up stamp was used for the saying on the front.

The instructions and dimensional for this keyring mini post-it-note can be found here.

I hope you liked my rendition of two gift sets for our state's rival universities.  These make wonderful gifts for both students, alumni, fans and supporters of the colleges.  These respective universities have given me persmission to use their logos for my projects.  If you are interested in puchasing this set or any of the items separately, please see my sister site http://www.southernbellestamper.com/.
