Hello Everyone!  For todays project I have another card I made to be offered at a Holiday Card Buffet being held in a few weeks.

The base of this card is Whisper white embossed with the Finial Press embossing folder.  The ornaments are from the Delightful Decorations stamp set stamped with Cherry Cobbler on Whisper White cardstock and punched with the Ornament Extra-Large punch and raised up with dimensionals.

The mat layers are Brushed Gold and Cherry Cobbler cardstock.  The greeting is from the Snow Swirled stamp set stamped in Basic Black on Whisper White and punch out with the Scallop oval punch. This is matted with a piece of Brushed Gold punched with the Wide Oval punch.

Cherry Cobbler Christmas

Hello Everyone!  Today's project is one of a few cards being offered at a Holiday Card Buffet in a few weeks.  This is another Christmas card being featured at the card buffet to make for the holidays.

All the supplies are Stampin Up unless otherwise indicated.  The base of the card is one of the new colors, Cherry Cobbler.  It is a wonderful deep red color which works just beautifully for these holiday cards.

The focal image is stamped with Cherry Cobbler ink from the Delightful Decorations stamp set on Very Vanilla cardstock and punched with the Ornament Extra-Large punch and raised up with dimensionals.  I enhanced the small dots and the center with gold Stickles.

The next layer is Very Vanilla cardstock stamped with the Lovely as a Tree using Wild Wasabi ink.

The greeting is from the Snow Swirled stamp set using Always Artichoke.  This layer is matted on another piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock.

I used some retired Gold Elastic cord for the wire and hanger of the ornament.

I hope you like today's project and would love to hear a comment if you do.

Golden Dasher

Hello everyone!  Today I have another Christmas card to share with you.  It features the stamp image Dasher from Stampin Up.

The card base is a piece of 8-1/2 x 5-1/2 Whisper White cardstock scored and folded at 4-1/4".  The first layer is a piece of Whisper White cardstock.  The scalloped layer is Gold Mirror cardstock from my stash.  The next layer is Whisper White embossed with the Pretty Petals embossing folder which I sprayed with Champagne Shimmer mist.  I took a piece of 5/8" Real Red satin ribbon and wrapped it down the center underneath the focal piece.

The focal piece is Whisper White edged with the Scallop corner and border trim punch.  The Dasher image was stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with Gold Stampin Embossed powder.  I used a Quickie Glue pen and Dazzling Diamonds on the antlers with a little Gold Stickles and adhered this piece with dimensional.

The greeting was stamped with Basic Black on Whisper White from A Wish for Peace and mounted on Gold Mirror cardstock.

I hope you liked today's project. Please leave me a comment if you do.

Poinsettia Christmas

Hello everyone!  Today's project is another Christmas card using the Five Petal flower punch.  I'm on a roll with my Christmas cards and don't know how long this mojo will last.

The base of the card is Whisper White with the first layer embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder.  Then I took a piece of Gold Mirror cardstock from my stash and ran it through my Big Shot using the Bigz Oval Scallop Frame.  I centered the scallop frame and adhered it to the first embossed layer.

Then, I embossed another piece of Whisper White cardstock with the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder and ran it through my Big Shot using the Bigz Oval Scallop Frame.  Using only the center oval, I adhered it inside the gold scalloped frame.

The poinsettia flowers are made by punching two Five Petal Flowers for each flower out of Real Red cardstock and sponging the edged with Red Red ink.  I scored down the center of each petal using my piercing tool and creased the petals up a little.  I attached one flower on top of the other staggered using a pop up glue dot.  I didn't have any small gold rhinestones for the centers of the flowers, so I used yellow Stickles.

The leaves are cut from Old Olive cardstock with the Little Leaves Sizzlits Die.  I also scored the center of the leave the same as the flower.

The greeting is from the A Cardinal Christmas stamped in Basic Black on Whisper White cardstock and matted with a piece of the gold mirror cardstock.  I attached this with dimensional to the center oval.

I hope this card gives you some creativity and inspiration.  I would love to hear from you if you liked todays project.

Thanks for looking.

Elegant Christmas

Hello everyone!  For my project today, I would like to show you my first Christmas card of the season.  I tried to keep it simple but elegant.  On the ornament, I used a glue pen and Dazzling Diamonds on the flourishes and added a little silver Stickles for the dots.  The pictures does not do the card justice as the Dazzling Diamond just makes the ornament sparkle in real life.

The base of the card is whisper white cardstock with another piece of whisper white on top. The next layer I used a piece of gold mirror cardstock from my stash which I edged with the Scallop Trim border punch.  I embossed the Whisper White layer with the Petals-a-Plenty embossing folder leaving 1" on the bottom for the greeting which I stamped in Basic Black from the Snow Swirled set.

After adhereing the two layers together, I punch the scallop circle with my new 2-3/8" Scallop Circle Extra-Large punch.  I tied some sheer white ribbon from my stash around these two layers and tied a bow.

I had some Stampin Up Silver Elastic Cord left over from the 2009 Holiday Mini that I also used to tie a bow on the white ribbon.  This layer is popped up with dimensionals.

The ornament was stamped with Cherry Cobbler ink and punched out with the Ornament Extra-Large punch.  I used a glue pen on the flourishes and sprinkled with Dazzling Diamonds and a little bit of Silver Stickles for the dots.

Supplies:

Stamps: Snow Swirled, Delightful Decorations

Ink: Basic Black, Cherry Cobbler

Cardstock: Whisper White, Gold Mirror from my stash.

Accessories: Petals-a-Plenty EF, Scallop Trim border punch, 2-3/8" Scallop Circle Extra-Large, Ornament Extra-Large punch, Dazzling Diamonds, Glue pen, Silver Stickles, White sheer ribbon from stash, Retired Silver Elastic Cord.

I sure hope you liked today's project.  Leave me a comment if you do.  I would love to hear from you.  Thanks for looking.

QSW Sunny Garden Card Sets

Hello everyone! Today I have a new project to share with you. It's a card set using Quarter Sheet Wonder to make the cards. I used the new Sunny Garden designer paper for this set.

One quarter sheet wonder is a 6 x 6 piece of designer paper which will make four cards. I used two different sheets from the Sunny Garden designer series pack.

On the card set below, I used one of the designer sheets from the Sunny Garden designer series paper pack.  It is very similar to the Cottage Wall dsp in the last catalog except using the new in colors. Since I didn't have any of the new Stampin Up ribbon, I had to use ribbon from my stash.

I used another pattern from the Sunny Garden dsp for the card set below.  Both sets use the same Quarter Sheet Wonder layout above.

The box below is made using the Cute by the Inch Box tutorial in my previous post here

I hope you enjoyed today's project and have fun creating one of your own.  Please leave me a comment if you like this set.

As always, I'm open for suggestions, comments and requests.
